FIFO Townsville - Maintenance Crew Supervisor

Dawsons Engineering has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Crew Supervisor with either a background as a Fitter or Boilermaker to join our maintenance team at a mine site located in North West Queensland.  FIFO – Townsville only.

As Crew Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following:

• Lead a diverse maintenance crew of tradesmen including fitters, boilermakers, fiberglassrs, conveyor technicians, lube technicians and a crane rigging and scaffolding crew
• Ensure maintenance activities on site are carried out to schedule and in accordance with the contract and statutory requirements
• Maintain individual and crew training requirements
• Monitor and control resources including 20T Franna and 55T Crane crew vehicles and workshop machinery and equipment
• Promote quality and safety and practice and promote Dawsons core values every day
• Conduct workplace investigations
• Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships with engineering, safety, training , planning and operations teams

This is a permanent position, working 12-hour days on a 8/6 Roster where regular shift work will be required.

• Shutdown bonus of $1000 is paid to those workers who are required to stay in for the 15W shutdowns. This should occur twice per year.

• Permanent room in camp (subject to time period and availability)
• Opportunity to be part of ERT. Training bonus $1000/year if regular attendance occurs.
